Kristy Zaste is committed to fostering cultural preservation and economic development across Indian Country. As the owner of Mashkiki Wellness and several other small businesses, Zaste prioritizes integrative approaches to wellness, including traditional practices such as herbal medicine, genomics, and holistic health care. She is also actively involved in planning and development as a Tribal Planner for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians (TMBCI), where she works to advance community initiatives.
Zaste holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Integrative Health, and Herbal Medicine from Maryland University of Integrative Health and has years of experience in program design, management, and evaluation. Her extensive background in both the public and private sectors has equipped her to lead innovative projects aimed at uplifting communities through sustainable business models and cultural integrity.
