A 1989 graduate of Mandan High School, Christi Stonecipher graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota with a BBA in Marketing & Management. She served as the first Recycling Coordinator for the City of Grand Forks and later as the City’s Special Projects Coordinator, assigned to such projects as the Alerus Center design and construction and the $400 million Flood Protection Project.
Stonecipher moved to Bismarck with her family in 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the North Dakota Community Foundation, a role she’s filled since 2013. The Foundation manages over $116 million in assets and has awarded over $99 million in grants since its inception to organizations all across the state. With a mission of improving the quality of life for North Dakota citizens through charitable giving and growing philanthropy, the Foundation has volunteers and ambassadors in every county in the state.
Stonecipher is an active member, former board member, and Past President of the Bismarck Rotary Club. She was active in the arts in her younger years and supported her children in their musical, theatrical, and visual arts endeavors in more recent years. She enjoys and appreciates the arts opportunities that are available in Bismarck and is grateful for the chance to serve her region and state in this role.
