Career Description
The North Dakota Beef Commission (NDBC) is the state agency responsible for collecting and investing Beef Checkoff dollars for promotion, research and education of beef and beef products. The commission's main focus is driving demand of beef for North Dakota beef producers. NDBC is governed by a producer-led board which focuses on strengthening consumer trust and surpassing consumer expectations. We are seeking an enthusiastic Beef Promotion Intern to join our team! This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience in marketing, communications, and program management within the agriculture sector.What You'll Gain:Hands-on experience promoting the beef industry and its impact on local communities.Progressive skill development through tasks ranging from foundational responsibilities to complex projects.Opportunities to contribute to meaningful initiatives and campaigns.Key Responsibilities:Manage NDBC's social media channels and create engaging content.Update and maintain the organization's website.Provide communication and administrative support.Plan and execute promotional activities, including:Best Burger ContestSchool Lunch PromotionsNurse Appreciation WeekCoordinate event logistics and promotional materials. To succeed in this position, you must have strong communication skills and creativity, organizational skills with attention to detail, a fresh perspective to help share compelling stories about beef's role in people's lives, and the ability to monitor engagement and evaluate promotional campaign effectiveness.To be considered for this role, A current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical program within the United States.In pursuit of a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, agricultural communications, animal science, journalism, business administration or other related fields, have sophomore standing or above with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.Join us to gain hands-on experience and help make a positive impact on the beef industry!Location: Bismarck, NDHiring pay: $18/hr.
